instagram has shown everyone they can be an "artist" without suffering or sacrificing for their craft. writing and performing music can be a humiliating and taxing thing, but there's nothing else that I want to do. even if I don't have the expected natural talent, there will always be a greater purpose to it, than self glorification and partying. this song is a rebellion against everyone who has said "I'm not good enough".

this song is about being bad at singing and creating a sort of gimmick (or "angle" in the show business) to sell your sound. a big part of playing "punk" music, to me, is about a demographical choice. non rebellious music alienates "punx" and gives power to conventional mindsets enforced by coorporately sponsored media.
